Mongolian Dinner Attendance Reached 30
by S. Riggs
The Mongolian Dinner held at St. Thomas, April 21, 2007, was a great success with 30 people present, members and visitors. Campbellsville University international student Davaajargal Dorjsuren, or "Dawa", prepared several traditional dishes.
St. Thomas pastor, Karl Lusk, introduced Dawa and led everyone in a prayer before dinner (below left). Dawa modeled her formal Mongolian attire, and welcomed everyone to the dinner. She circulated among the tables and answered questions about some of the dishes.
Dawa began preparation for the 5 p.m. dinner at Noon. (picture above far left) One dish was very much like a spicy version of American meat and dumplings, while a Mongolian-style potato salad was a big hit.
Visitor and Campbellsville University student, Tiffany Thompson, enjoyed a plate (first picture below) as others continue through the line behind her. St. Thomas enjoyed a full Fellowship Hall. (second picture below).
